She pulled her arm out. He reached in, running his hand along the surface until he felt something unusual. Ejia was already busy unfastening the panel above him. Sam felt around. Something metal and heavy was hanging down loose inside. Sam wiggled it around a little and Ejia's tester changed tone. He pulled his hand out just in time to assist Ejia with pulling the panel off. What they saw confirmed the suspicion. The horizontal beam somehow became loose and smashed down into an electrical box. Sam reached in and attempted to pick it up.

“The damned thing must weight a ton,” Sam blurted out.

Ejia immediately opened up her Compad and typed in a few things. “Magnetize boots,” she ordered him right before the artificial gravity switched off.
