“I am getting reports of high stellar activity. Divert course five degrees starboard,” The Captain ordered.

“Aye sir, five degrees starboard,” Sam replied. He slightly moved his hands right while pressing a button near his thumb. The ship started to roll to the right. The two stars rapidly disappeared from two of the three forward displays. Sam felt the roll of the ship and quickly adjusted to correct “Compensating for roll,” he reported.

“Thirty five percent,” Ejia reported once more.

“That is enough for now. Shut down main thrusters and recycle for the forward thrusters.”

The acceleration stopped immediately. Everything that wasn't strapped down started to float. Sam missed the feeling of the few seconds between being pinned to the chair and the artificial 'gravity' kicked in; however, everything remained floating long past the usual threshold.
